世界上最大的加密货币比特币（BTC）的交易价格一直低于 20,000 美元。截至发稿时，BTC 的交易价格为 19,887 美元，市值为 3800 亿美元。根据最新进展，比特币鲸鱼地址九年来首次活跃，并将价值 1 亿美元的 5,000 个比特币转移到加密货币交易所 Kraken。著名的加密货币记者 Colin Wu 引用 OKLink 的数据说：
比特币鲸鱼地址（18xGHNrU26w6HSCEL8DD5o1whfiDaYgp6i）于 9 月 5 日凌晨 4 点 50 分 38 秒（UTC+8）将 5000.01 BTC 转出至 Kraken，目前价值约 1 亿美元。钱包被创建，比特币在 2013 年被转移到这个地址。
在上周美国的失业报告之后，比特币继续承受压力，比特币连续第九天交易价格低于 20,000 美元，但继续保持在 19,511 美元上方，这是自 2017 年 12 月以来的创纪录高点。2017 年 12 月的高点可能成为关键支撑继续比特币。9 月 4 日星期日，Gavekal Research 发送了一份报告指出：

比特币闪电容量达到新的 ATH

有趣的是，Michal Saylor 的 MicroStrategy 一直致力于让大量用户加入闪电网络。9 月 3 日星期六，在拉脱维亚里加举行的波罗的海蜜獾会议上，Saylor 称闪电是“世界上最重要的技术事件”。他进一步补充说：
“MicroStrategy 目前正在进行一些研发项目，我们正在研究闪电的企业应用程序：企业闪电钱包、企业闪电服务器、企业身份验证”。
他说，这一步骤将允许公司“每天向十万员工推出闪电网络”。Saylor 说，也有可能在一夜之间打开 1000 万个闪电钱包。
