2015年，在训练中一直倍感疲劳的兰赫突然被查出肺部癌细胞病变，幸亏发现及时，他在西班牙巴塞罗那市的一家医院接受了左肺切除手术。

在六个月的治疗过程当中，兰赫一直保持着一个乐观的心态。术后仅用5天，他就开始骑自行车训练，不到一个月的时间，他便奇迹般的重返了训练场。

% b) w0 i$ @9 t& l( ] 对于病痛的折磨，他始终抱着一颗虔诚感恩的心，他表示：“幸亏医生及时发现了癌细胞，如果不是我经常路途劳动让身体感到如此疲惫的话，还真不一定能这么早发现癌细胞，我觉得自己真的非常幸运。”
